How to become a supplier

Purchasing expectations

Exide Technologies is looking for competitive, qualitative, innovative, agile and best performing suppliers to develop partnerships with.
We select suppliers based on several factors including but not limited to quality excellence, customer focus, competitiveness, supply chain performance, Sustainable development and financial stability.
A strict adherence to applicable regulations, to Corporate Social responsibility principles, and to Exide requirements including Code of Conduct, data transparency and regular assessments or audits programs is key to remain an Exide partner.

In order to ensure our final customers satisfaction, we expect from our suppliers maintaining the highest-quality product outputs, processes and services. This means zero incidents (quality, logistics, transactional), zero defect, 100% service level. New suppliers for direct materials are expected to send initial samples on time and right the first time.

Sustainable Purchasing

Exide Technologies is driven by delivering power and strong performance. We lead by example, and this brings great responsibility. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, as we inspire the generations of today and the future. We are considering it as a key topic to manage our business and from a Purchasing standpoint – we fully embrace it in our daily life.
We have been developing an overall action plan to further enhance our tools and procedures to reflect the increasing importance of Corporate Social Responsibility and having a 'Sustainable Purchasing Policy' is a part of it. Our freshly developed Sustainable Purchasing Policy is now available and can be downloaded here.

For suppliers of Direct Materials:
The Supplier Part Approval Process (PAP) is the key process ensuring product validation in Exide and to support our final customers’ satisfaction. This process is mainly based on PPAP principle. Please ask the current PAP pack to your Exide Supplier Quality contact when at this stage.
